St. John’s offers students in grades 6-8 an opportunity to participate in a sewing club.
Club members will learn safe sewing techniques and develop new skills while working cooperatively on projects such as quilts, pillow cases, Christmas stockings, and more.
In keeping with St. John’s mission to “live as His disciples,” the club’s creations will be donated to organizations such as Project Linus, Operation Support Our Troops, Carenet, and others.
Our So Kids, Sew! staff teach and guide students the skills involved in sewing.
When: We will meet from 3:00 – 4:30
First Session: Mondays: Sept. 9, 16, 23 and 30
Second Session: TBD
Where: Lower Level Sewing Room
Cost: Free (supplies are paid for with a grant from Thrivent Financial)
We sewed Christmas stockings for the 7th grade service project in October. The stockings for our troops will be filled with items later, but first, we need to make the stockings! Stockings for the Troops
